We advise to complete all necessary pre-operative medical exams and tests at your local medical center. Alternatively you can have them done in Odessa.

Lab blood work includes:

• clinical blood analysis with platelets and bleeding time test
• general urine test
• biochemical blood assay (liver and BUN test)
• functional liver test
• prothrombin ratio
• AIDS, HCV, HBV testing
• wasserman reaction
• blood sugar
• ECG tracing
• blood group and Rhesus factor
• photoroentgenography

Supplementary Testing:

When it is advised by the surgeon, patients should do a pelvic and abdominal region ultrasound exam.
In cases of mammaplasty patients should have mammography, prolactin blood test and mammary gland ultrasound.

Preoperative reminder:

1. Please report to your doctor if you have had any health disorders on the eve of the operation (running nose, empyesis etc.).
2. Patients should not to eat or drink anything after midnight the evening before the surgery.
3. Please do not bring valuables such as jewelry, credit cards or other items.
4. Women should not wear nail polish or makeup on the day of surgery
5. Please have with you some essential items including a toothbrush, toothpaste, comb or brush, deodorant, razor, slippers, robe, pajamas, and one change of comfortable clothes to wear when going home.
6. In cases of facial surgeries make sure to have eyeglasses with you.
7. Patients are recommended to arrange someone to accompany them with transportation to get back home.
