Specialists of the Italian Research Company Maya Beauty Engineering have spent more than 5 years developing the practical application of pure oxygen for a wide range of cosmetological problems. Medical research in the field of needleless injections proved the possibility of injecting microscopic quantities of natural extracts, homeopathic agents, pharmaceuticals and vitamins into the skin under high air-pressure. As a result medications enter deep into subcutaneous tissue and then absorbed by the blood flow. In cosmetology, it is considered important for drug components to penetrate the epidermis and enter the basic membrane in order to get dissolved properly and achieve the required cosmetological effect. Institute VIRTUS has been successfully practicing a unique method for many years; the Oxymesotherapy technique (oxygen infusion under pressure) is used to painlessly send products and oxygen deep into the skin. This increases the flow of oxygenated blood and nourishment to the tissue being treated, aids the removal of liquids carrying waste to stimulate the metabolic activity of the cellular elements in the connective tissue, which surrounds all cells. This method’s effectiveness and safety was tested by Fraunhofer Institute for Biomedical Technic (Germany). The institute deals with biomedical/medical engineering, ultrasound technologies, health telematics, biotechnologies, cryo(bio)technologies. It developed a new method of performance testing that helps to determine the exact depth of cosmetic drug’s intradermal penetration. The method was titled as "PermaSkin" and used to test medications injected under pressure. It was found out that, depending on the oxygen pressure and the drug’s active ingredients, drugs are able to penetrate the surface of the skin in just two minutes and get deposited around the basic membrane. The developers of the method claim it improves and stimulates bioactive matrix (intercellular space) after just a single or double treatment session with oxygen “injections” along with other (specially developed by "Maya Beauty Engineering") formulas that stimulate dermal regenerative processes and skin rejuvenation. In this procedure pure oxygen is used as a natural medium to deliver all cosmeceuticals (dermocosmetic aids) that the skin needs. |
