Diagnostics and treatment of hair and scalp diseases

Accurate diagnosis is crucial (essential) in determining effective way of treating hair loss or baldness (alopecia). To facilitate the task we use computer diagnostics which is able to evaluate (analyze, examine) not just existing hair and scalp condition but the whole hair system growth: follicle, hair bulb, sebaceous glands. All collected information (data) along with the necessary images (pictures) is saved in the computer database. This is important to provide individual treatment scheme, control its dynamics to make the treatment highly effective.

Additional examination

Hair problems are generally the result of the overall underlying health condition and existing diseases. In the outpatient policlinic VIRTUS department you can have ultrasound skin and internal organs diagnostics along with necessary laboratory blood testing. The examination may include endocrinological and general physician consultations.

Conditions to be treated:

• hair loss
• thinning and fragile (brittle) hair
• dandruff
• seborrhea
• all kinds of alopecia (including cicatrical alopecia)
• scalp inflammatory processes (diseases)

The required treatment period depends on the general health state and existing particular diseases. The appropriate (proper) management program will be specified by trychology-physician at the initial consultation.
